Wanda is the ex-girlfriend of Harold Gaynor. She is confined to a wheelchair. She refused a job as a waitress from Jean-Claude and instead works as a prostitute.
Jeremy is a former member of the Humans Against Vampires group and is the man responsible for starting the Humans First Group.
He attacks Anita and Larry but that does not later stop him approaching her and trying to befriend her with the old adage "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" after she is attacked by Alejandro.
Jeremy is the man who directs Rhonda Mckenzie to Anita in the short story The Girl Who Was Infatuated With Death. Anita notes that he has been neglecting to tell people that he had been jailed for over a dozen counts of conspiracy to commit murder.
Karl is an associate of Jeremy Inger and he is a member of Humans First. Rather ironically he is also the human servant of Mr Oliver and is over 700 years old. He died when Mr Oliver did.
Monica is a vampire junkie and is in a relationship with the vampire Robert. She marries him and later becomes pregnant by him.
She is a friend of Catherine Maison and betrays both Catherine and Anita to Jean-Claude whose protection she is under.
There are two men hired by Bruno to kidnap Anita and Ronnie.
Catherine is a friend of Anita's and is later married to Bob and becomes Catherine Maison-Gillett.
She is a lawyer who helps Anita on occasions when she is wanted for questioning by the police.
She can't understand why Anita would choose Jean-Claude over Richard. Anita has not confided in her that Richard is a werewolf.
Alvin is a hypnotist recommended by Anita.
Martin was a member of Humans First and was shot by Anita when the group attacked her.
Perry is a worker at Circus of the Damned. We don't see much of him throughout the series and as far as I know he was only a human. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Phillip is a vampire junkie. He works as an entertainer as "bait" for the vampires at Guilty Pleasures.
He was first attacked by Valentine as a child and progressed to a professional victim.
He was a bit of a flirt and did try to get off of the vampire junkie circuit. However he was killed by Aubrey on the orders of Nikolaos. However that was not the last we saw of him as he was raised from the dead by Nikolaos and Zachary as a zombie before being finally laid to rest by Anita.
This is the doctor who was trying to find a cure for vampirism, at least he was until a patient ate his face.
Fred is a worker at the St Louis County Morgue.
Dr Saville is a worker at the St Louis County Morgue.
George is married to Peggy, who is a lycanthorpe. He goes to Anita for help and she refers him to Ronnie. George had in fact murdered Peggy and then hid the body. He pretended that she was missing. However P.I. Ronnie Sims was not fooled and uncovered the truth in that he was having an affair.
Marguerite is Yasmeen's human servant. She is possessive and jealous of Yasmeen and on her death she clawed out her own eyes.
Sheila is the holy item check girl at Guilty Pleasures. As far as I know she was merely human.
Beverley is an old acquaintance of Anita. Her family were vampire victims. Anita killed them and saved Bev. Bev also saved Anita at the same time.
Bev is a member of Humans Against Vampires.
Thomas is a client of Animators Inc. His daughter Iris had been raised as a zombie seven years previously and was to be laid to rest by Anita. He had had her raised to try to make amends with her but as she would not forgive him he had kept her.
Winter is a human bodybuilder who works for Nikolaos. He is stabbed by Anita.
Burchard is Nikolaos's human servant. He has been marked by her and his 603 years old. He was killed in a fight with Anita.
Ronnie is Anita's best friend, workout partner, and a private investigator on retainer to Animators Inc. She works with Anita to solve the murders in Guilty Pleasures.
Unlike Anita she is hesitant to shoot and as Anita's life becomes more dangerous we see less and less of Ronnie.
Ronnie likes Richard but calls Jean-Claude fang-face. As Anita becomes more and more involved with the monsters their relationship becomes more and more strained and arguments are the norm.
A divorcee from a two years marriage she is now dating Louie, one of the wererats.
Ronnie makes quite a bit of a comeback in Incubus Dreams when she and Louie have a major fight after he proposes to her and she turns him down. Turning to Anita they finally admit how badly their friendship has deteriorated and start to put things back together.
Ronnie and Anita finally admit that they both have found themselves with the exact relationships they never wanted. However whilst Anita is starting to accept hers, Ronnie is not.
Ronnie reveals that she still knows Anita very well and can tell by how she acts around Nathaniel that she has not had sex with him yet.
It is through Ronnie ending up drunk at the Incubus Dreams club that Anita discovers another body.
Whether she and Louie sort things out will be something we will have to wait and see.
Samuel is a civilian friend of Richard. He is a biology student and caretaker and found the first body in The Lunatic Café. He was shot dead.
This was one of Titus's hunters. He was shot by Edward.
This was one of Titus's hunters. He was shot in the stomach by Anita.
Raymond is an expert in Vampire Cults.
Beatrice is a worker at Mabel's Cafeteria.
Rebecca was the cohabitee of Maurice, the first victim of the vampire murders in Guilty Pleasures.
Luther is the daytime manager of Dead Daves. He is the only person who is allowed to call Anita "girl".
Edith Pringle is Anita's neighbour, at least until Anita moves house. She owns a pomeranian dog named Custard and is a retired school teacher.
She approves of Richard.
Crystal is one of many vampire junkies in the earlier books of the series.
AKA "Jimmy the Shotgun". He is the first assassin in The Killing Dance. He is killed by Anita when he waits to attack her in her home apartment. People like these in her apartment feature strongly in the reasons for Anita moving to a more remote address.

Dr Wilburn was monitoring the Naga at the hospital in The Lunatic Café.
Darlene is another vampire junkie.
Harold began as a client of Animators Inc. He wanted a 283 year old corpse raising which requires a human sacrifice. He is searching for an ancestor's treasure.
He was killed by zombies and later raised by Anita.
These are bodyguards of Harold Gaynor. Tommy was beaten to death by Anita.
Cicely works with Gaynor and is deaf. She likes torture with knives and skinning things. She was shot by Anita.
Gerald is an elderly vampire executioner who resides in Washington D.C.
Mrs Cassidy is the manageress of The Maiden Voyage Bridal Shop. She does the dresses for Catherine's wedding.
Elizabeth "Elsie" and Kasey Markowitz
Elsie is a lawyer friend of Catherine. She is the mother of eight year old flower girl Kasey.
Antonio was Dominga's adult grandson.
Enzo was one of Dominga's workers.
Lional is a junior partner with Beadle, Beadle, Stirling and Lowenstein, a company that wants an entire mass cemetery raising in Bloody Bones.
When he tries to back out of the plan he is killed by Stirling.
Raymond Stirling is an obnoxious lawyer with Beadle, Beadle, Stirling and Lowenstein. He killed Lional Bayard.
He wants Anita to raise zombies to lie for him and he tries to persuade her with bribes. He wants them to say that they are not Bouvier if they are. He wants Bloody Bones free so that he can have the land.
He tries to kill Anita and Larry but then begs them for help with the vampires attack him.
He is eventually killed by Bettina and Pallas.
Ms Harrison was Mr Stirling's secretary. She had a bad taste in clothes and could not apply make-up.
She tries to kill Anita and Larry. Anita stops her by making the zombies attack her. She is killed by Xavier and Ellie/Angela.
Beau is the site foreman at the cemetery in Bloody Bones. He is also a gunman for Stirling.
Karen was the unwilling human victim of Damien's act in the Danse Macabre club opening night.
Beth was the wife of Sheriff St John. She was killed in a vampire attack at the Quinlans' house.
Jeffrey and Sally are the parents of the family and their children are Jeff Junior and Elle. The dog is a poodle called Raven. In the interests of keeping the family together in the listings they are all here in the humans section although Ellie is soon one of the vampires.
Ellie is a willing vampire victim who is going to rise. Her parents want her to be staked. She isn't and rises as a vampire who is re-named Angela and the vampires claim that she has been dead for two years. She is brought over by her boyfriend Andy who is missing and disliked by her father.
Jeff Junior is kidnapped by vampires when they return for Ellie's body before she rises. This results in Jeffrey and Sally threatening Anita with a law suit.
Ellie is burnt to death in the sunlight.
Jeff Junior is also brought over, him by Xavier. He burnt to death in a gas fire.
Ernie was sent by Jean-Claude to Anita after their first night to wait on her whilst he sleeps.
Later on he is described as one of Jean-Claude's hangers on. He serves as a maid and errand boy. He is also on the door at the Circus of the Damned.
When Padma and The Traveler were in town they hung him up as an appetizer.
Lisa is the hysterical girl at the house of Serephina. Her unnamed friend was braver. She was used as a "whipping boy" for Larry and Jason by Serephina's vampires. Both she and her friend were released to an unknown fate.
Harley was a hitman and Edward's backup in The Killing Dance. Anita describes him as a "card-carrying, rubber-room-renting psychotic". He scares her just by coming into a room.
Unfortunately Harley classes Anita as one of the monsters and tries to shoot her. His mistake as he is unsuccessful and she kills him.
Edward is not happy about this but rather than go up against Anita and finally see just who is better it is arranged that Anita owes him a favour.
Anabelle is a freelance reporter (or at least claims to be) and comes to the assistance of Karen who was a victim of Damien.
She is also an assassin and attacks Anita in the ladies room. She had previously committed several political killings but died herself at the hand of Anita.
This couple are neighbours of Robert and Monica. They are vampire haters and members of Humans Against Vampires.
Although she is long dead by the time of the events in the books she is a character who is frequently referred to. She was the human servant of Asher and was burned as a witch 200 years previously. Jean-Claude had not been able to save her and neither he nor Asher had ever really forgiven him for not succeeding in preventing her death.
Julianna had been the one who bridged the gap between Jean-Claude and Asher and Anita feels that she will never be able to fill her shoes.
Thomas is the human servant of Padma. He is British, upper class and has a 19th century mustache. He is a sad man who would welcome death.
He is part of the triumvirate with Gideon and Padman.
Balthasar is the human servant and lover of The Traveler. He is also an envoy of the Council.
Caroline is the human liaison person for the halfway house. She is a member of the Church of Eternal Life. She has let vampires bite her.
Vicki Pierce does theatre arts at college, which comes in handy when she pretends that a vampire has bitten her and set him on fire in the bar of Burnt Offerings. This was a set up and a previous vampire had in fact bitten her.
She is dating Harry and is a member of Humans First. She betrayed the vampires.
Daniel is the younger brother of Richard Zeeman. Anita describes him as "twenty four and cute as a bug's ear".
It is Daniel who notifies Anita that Richard is in jail in Blue Moon.
He is the only member of Richard's family to know about him being a werewolf at the start of Blue Moon.
He is taken by Niley and a lock of his hair sent as a message.
Charlotte is Richard's mother. A powerful woman, all her children are scared to stand up to her. Anita has no such quarms though and does.
She is taken by Niley and one of her fingers sent as a message.
She eventually finds out about Richard being a werewolf and comes to accept it.
Carl is a lawyer in Tennessee recommended by Catherine as someone who could help Richard.
Ed is a worker at Portaby Airfield, Tennessee. He is a mechanic.
Betty Schaffer is the woman who claims that Richard raped her. Richard had dated her.
Anita refers to her as a "cowgirl hooker".
She later becomes a victim of the murderer. Anita believes that a demon is responsible as the body is not recognisable. She was in fact murdered by Niley who was trying to frame the trolls.
Aggie is a worker at the diner in Tennessee.
Milo is hired muscle of Frank Niley.
He has a second degree black belt in karate and has served time for attempt murder.
Niley is a rich businessman who has no hesitation in using his money to pay thugs to run off Anita and those who accompany her. When that does not work he wants her killed.
He also has Wilkes and other officers in his pay.
The motive for his actions is that he wants the land that the trolls are on. He wants a relic that is on the land where they reside. The relic is the lance that pierced Christ's side. He wants this because he is an art dealer who specialises in mystical artifacts.
He has been wanted for lots of crimes over the years but nothing has never been proved.
He rapes Daniel and tries to flirt with Richard. He believes that to come up against Anita is death.
Mel Cooper, Chuck and Terry Fletcher
These are the named thugs who attack Anita, Jason and Shang-Da. Mel's brother is also one of the thugs but not named.
Mel can sense a shapeshifter and is slightly psychic. He is beaten by Anita.
Jason is beaten up so badly by the thugs that had he been human he would have been killed.
Chuck was killed by Anita.
Terry lost an arm and was killed by Verne and the werewolf pack to protect secret identities.
Millie owns the house that Shang-Da is staying in.
She is brave enough to try and halt the trouble with the thugs. She claims that Shang-Da is her grandson.
Carrie is a human who works with the trolls.
She has previously dated Richard during his stay in Tennessee.
She is involved in the fight over the land the trolls live on.
The first time that Anita meets her she is hysterical and in tears. Anita realises that Carrie could be competition for Richard.
Carrie does not know about who the werewolves are.
Nikki is the human servant of Colin. She may be a witch or a psychic.
She called Asher with her powers and tried to kill him. She was shot dead by Anita. When dying she says she hopes that Colin dies with her for not being there himself.
Donna is Ted "Edward" Forrester's fiancée. She is a widow with two children and two Maltese dogs called Peeka and Boo.
She sells psychic goods in a shop in Santa Fe although she is not psychic herself.
She has been dating "Ted" for two years. She knows nothing of his identity as Edward and is seemingly oblivious to the type of man that he is.
Her husband had been killed by a werewolf. Her son Peter who was eight at the time had saved the rest of the family by shooting it. She herself fell apart. She is completely hysterical around any type of violence. Anita does not stand for it and forces her to think of the children before herself.
She is also a member of an archaeology group who are up against Riker and his thugs.
Peter is the son of Donna. He dislikes Ted and sees him as an intruder in their lives. He has been the man of the house since he had killed the werewolf who killed his father.
He is much better around the violence than his mother and had had to grow up quickly.
He and Anita get along quite well but he is still reserved as he knows that she is a friend of Ted.
Becca is the six year old daughter of Donna and she adores Ted. She is the main reason that Anita does not blow Ted's cover and tell Donna the truth about Edward/Ted. She is the only one that she does not want to hurt.
Brenda is Donna's psychic advisor.
Bernado is backup for Edward and has an identity as a bounty hunter. He is an assassin and bodyguard.
He and Anita get along, after a fashion, or at least better than she does with Olaf. Bernado is a bit of a romeo who tries to win Anita over.
Olaf is Edward's second backup. He does not like Anita and she has to watch her back with him as he has previous convictions for rape.
However rather surprisingly by the end of the adventure he has saved Anita's life and decided that she is the woman for him and it could be that we see him again some time. He disappears after Anita has found his message. But he is still dangerous as he would have attacked another woman had Anita not come to the house.
Ben is a nurse at the hospital looking after the skinned survivors.
Dr Evans is a Forensic Psychologist who is looking after the skinned survivors. His wife is a witch who he has kept out of the way in the case.
The Bromwells are two of the skinned victims in Obsidian Butterfly. Their Thaddeus Reginald Bromwell "Thad" is missing. Anita presumes that he is dead.
Harold is one of the workers for Riker. A hired thug. He appears to be in charge of the attack at "Ted's" house.
Russell is one of Riker's workers/thugs. He gets off to a great start with Anita who punches him out at their first meeting. He is one of the group who come across to threaten Donna and Ted in front of the kids in a restaurant.
When the children have been kidnapped it is Russell who breaks Becca's fingers.
Newt is another of Riker's hired thugs who threatens Ted and the Parnells in the restaurant. He is also in on the attack on "Ted's" house.
Riker is a pot hunter, an archaeologist who is only after the money it can make him. He is one of those who will destroy an entire site in the process.
He is responsible for organising the raids on Donna's sites.
He is suspected of having ordering the killings of two police officers.
He kidnaps Becca and Peter who Anita and Ted rescue.
Professor Dallas is a woman who is an expert working on the case of the skinned people in Obsidian Butterfly.
She hangs out at the Obsidian Butterfly Club but she is not very good around the monsters and is reduced to tears not long after we meet her.
Olaf uses her as the bait for Anita to come and get his message that he wants her.
Pinotl is a Priest at the Obsidian Butterfly Club. He mistakes Anita for a lycanthrope and intended to punish the were-jaguar who picked her from the audience. He does not even believe her when she tries to tell him that she has no beast within her. He is also a zealot.
Ramona is one of the women who is called as a "bride" during the performance at the Obsidian Butterfly Club.
Dr Cunningham is the doctor who cares for Anita after the attack.
Amanda, Maury, Simon, Deuce, Mickey, Rooster, Shooter, Antonio, Bandit, Blade
The above are all workers for Riker.
Amanda is described as Anita as the tall Amazon woman and she was on the attack at "Ted's" house. She also tortures Peter when Riker has kidnapped him and Becca.
Maury is also in the party who goes to "Ted's" house.
The others are met later when Edward and Anita are rescuing the Parnell children.
Simon was trained in his work by Van Cleef who also trained Edward. The name is from "Simon Says" and if he says to do something then you do it. He is eager to show that he has more kills than Anita. He is also observant.
Deuce is not the brightest of the group and when he is described as having trouble locating the wand they joke he would have trouble keeping track of his head. He also appears to be the only one of the group with anything resembling manners. He is the one who tests Anita and Edward for wires. He also tries to rape her and she kills him in self defence.
Mickey is named after a tattoo he has of Mickey Mouse. He is easily played up to by Anita and it is him that she decides is the best bet to trick. He is one of the few thugs that is not killed by her. Edward had the pleasure of taking this one out.
Rooster wears glasses and is the one who holds the gun on Edward whilst Anita is passed out. He is still holding the gun on him when he is shot by Anita.
Shooter is the one who Riker threatens will slit Edward's throat if he talks when watching what is happening to Peter and Becca. He is shot by Anita.
Antonio and Bandit are two of Riker's men that go missing (read probably killed) in the rescue of Becca and Peter.
Blade is the thug who Anita throws up on after watching the children being tortured. He is named after Blade the vampire killer and comic book character. After killing Deuce in self defence, Anita is left with the problem of how to escape from Blade and he is quickly dispatched with Deuce's gun.
Leo approaches Anita with a request for her to raise one of his ancestors. However during the course of Cerulean Sins events transpire so that the job is pulled. He is also known as Harlan Knox and works with some of the same people as the killers. When it is clear that Anita will find this out he skips town but his words on her answer machine hint that he may be back if not for any other reason but to explain the hints on the sleeve of the book relating to an ancient crime that does not appear to crop up in the novel itself.
Gail Bennington is the widow of Gordon Bennington and is a woman who attracts a lot of attention at the graveside of her husband who is about to be raised. She does not understand how zombie raising works and believes that Anita will make the zombie of her husband lie for the lawyers.
She is a hard woman to please but seemed to have genuine feelings for her departed husband.
Arthur Conroy is the head lawyer with Fidelis Insurance Company who are claiming that Gordon Bennington committed suicide. He attends with others from the company and body guards for the raising of the zombie. He is rather a sore loser and argues with the judge after the raising.
Initially seen as the bodyguards at the raising of Gordon Bennington, Rex and Balfour are fact spying on Anita to see how good she is at raising the dead and how lifelike the corpses are. They were working with Van Anders and Heinrick.
Angelito is the human servant of Musette and arrives with her and the rest of her party early to the city. Sour faced, Anita describes him as looking like he was always in a bad mood.
Mr Miller is a reporter at a crime scene who tries to question Anita as she is arriving.
Heinrick is one of the men who is tailing Anita and pulled in by the police after the capture by Anita and her were-animal backup.
The police soon discover that he is a terrorist and although his partner in the vehicle does not talk Heinrick does when he finds out what Van Anders has been doing without the knowledge of the rest of them.
Miranda is a performer at Narcissus in Chains. There is no indication that she was anything other than human as far as I could tell.

Anita's stepmother who is forever putting her down and does not approve of her at all.
Anita's stepbrother who unlike his mother thinks Anita is cool.
Detective Tammy Reynold's parents who are, of course present at her wedding. Mrs Reynolds was the reason for the large church wedding. Anita notes that Mr Reynolds doesn't appear to like Larry and would seem to blame him for Tammy being pregnant. Anita is concerned that he has the ability to appear instantly nice when he knows people are watching. Not the most pleasant of people.
Charlene was a 22 year old stripper who was the first murder victim in Incubus Dreams. She was discovered near to the club where she worked.
An interior designer who is dating Bert Vaughn and has redecorated the offices of Animators Inc. She and Anita don't get along as Lana is a believer in making the clients of the firm feel loved, something Anita disagreed with and had no hesitation in telling her. Lana and Anita do not share the same tastes. Though Anita does think that Lana is too good for Bert.
Mrs Barbara Brown and Mr Steve Brown are a couple who go to Animators Inc to try to persuade Anita to raise their son. Unfortunately their son and his girlfriend Cathy were murder victims and although it would be possible to raise him Anita, and no other respectable Animator, will do it because murder victims rise with only revenge in their minds and cannot be controlled. Barbara tries to convince Anita to raise their son by showing her pictures and paintings he had done. When Anita still refuses things become more violent and Mr Brown actually assaults Anita. Since she is still trying to control her beast and the ardeur it is only through Nathaniel who she has taken to work with her that she manages to regain control. Anita tries to help them by getting their son's case looked at again.

One of the customers of Guilty Pleasures. A regular at the club, she is let in the door by Clay who recognises her and tries to persuade Buzz inside to let her friend in who has forgotten her ID.
I have not seen anything to indicate that he is not human although it really is debatable in any event. If anyone knows that he is not let me know where to place him. Anthony Dietrich is the father of the twins Stephen and Gregory. He had abused them both as children and they have a restraining order against him. However he still tries to see them and although he had been mentioned in previous books it is only in Incubus Dreams that he makes an appearance in the flesh when he tries to see Gregory at Guilty Pleasures.
The woman who Baldie fed off at the Sapphire Club.
One of the vampire victims in Incubus Dreams. She is a stripper found in the apartment of Avery Seabrook.
A worker at Incubus Dreams who Ronnie had gone into the back of the club for a private lap dance with whilst drunk. As far as I know he was only a human. He was an ex-marine and offered to let Anita join them at no extra charge.
One of the workers at Incubus Dreams. As far as I can tell he is human. He agrees to help Anita, Nathaniel and Micah find Ronnie who they have come to fetch. He fears Dallas but agrees to help anyway, perhaps because he fears Anita more.
The stripper victim taken by the gang of vampires and used as bait for Anita and the police. She is barely alive when they get to her.
The mother of a girl who is determined to become a vampire even though she is underage. She come to Anita to get her to try to help her.
A human girl who is determined to become a vampire rather than lose her leg to an illness. She is the girl infatuated with death of the title of the anthology. We never actually meet her and I am placing her here so as to leave it ambiguous as to whether she was saved or not.
