Rapture in Death by J.D. Robb
Roarke and Eve are still on their honeymoon.  It's three weeks now that they have been traveling around the world and off planet.  On that special planet where they now are Roarke wants to build a new luxury hotel.  Then one of his technics commits suicide.  The strange thing  is that this young man had a smile on his face when he died.

Eve starts to investigate but a short time later they travel back to earth.

Back in her work everyone wants to know from Eve how her honeymoon was.  She hates that. Because she is the wife of the richest man on earth now, everyone is interested in her life.  First of all she asks for Peabody as her assistant.  Then the lawyer S.T. Fitzhugh commites suicide.  He saw himself bleed to death but still had a smile on his face when the corpse was found.  The medics find out that he had a "hole" in his brain so Eve is sure this was no suicide, this was murder.

Also a senator commited suicide, he jumped out of a window and then there is this business woman. Eve tries to save her but she jumps from the roof of a  building.  All these people must have something in common.  They all had a hole in the brain and they all liked virtual reality games.

Eve's best friend Mavis meanwhile is on the way to become a famous singer.  A well-known producer promotes her.  But he tries more to get Eves and Roarke's attention.

What a difficult case for Eve.  She doesn't have much time and she also has to get used to being a wife.  Then when she finally finds the right person who did all this it looks like it is to late ...

Again a very exciting story.  Every time that the reader thinks they know the "bad boy" there appears more evidence for another person to be the one.

This book should not be missed by all Eve and Roarke fans.
