Knowing that he is not likely to remember his previous life in his new one Lilith seeks out a potion to make her immortal so that she can continue with her life and keep her memories of him alive until his return.
In Toronto, 1999, Lilith is working as a matchmaker. Using her powers she is able to look into a person's eyes and see their soulmate. Using this information she sets about advising her clients on how to find their other half. But all her matchmaking makes Lilith a little impatient for Sebastian's return and so she concocts a love potion that will return him to her wherever he is.
Enter her new neighbour Mitch Davison a sceptic single father who does not believe in magic or love.
But Lilith is determined to convince Mitch that they are destined to be together for eternity and quickly sets about winning him around.
Mitch is unconvinced that his new neighbour is a match-making witch and is determined that she will not meddle in the lives of his family with her spells and potions. Taunted by his teasing step-mother the journalist heads on over to her house to expose her for a fake just as she concludes her summoning spell.
He walks through the door of Lilith's house to a very warm welcome - after all Lilith has been waiting for almost six centuries for his return.
Mitch soon realises that Lilith is not a con-artist, instead he comes to the conclusion that she has undergone some traumatic experience and is using her witchcraft story to suppress the memory. Looking at it in this way Mitch soon finds himself falling for his new neighbour and decides to play along with her "game" in order to try and help her.
However what neither of them realise is that destiny may not have meant for them to be together. When she cannot see a soulmate within the depths of Mitch's eyes she starts to wonder if he is capable of loving her even if he is her soulmate.
Together Lilith and Mitch discover that the path of true love is never entirely as they would wish it to be and sometimes destiny needs a helping hand to put it on the right track.
A wonderful addition to the Magical Love series,
filled with humour and a delightful host of secondary characters.
This book really makes you feel for not only the hero and heroine but
for the other characters too such as Mitch's step-mother Andrea, who is
on her own quest for true love thanks to the magic of Lilith.
