Legend by Jude Deveraux is a time travel romance book that has plot
twists aplenty. Just when you think you have figured things out a
bombshell has you as confused as the heroinne.
Kady Long is a celebrated chef, engaged to the boss's son and with ambitions of owning her own restaurant, writing cookbooks and having a family. She believes her life is perfect until she finds herself transported through some petroglyphs into Colorado in the year 1873.
As witness to an attempted hanging she is unable to stop herself from saving the man's life. That man is Cole Jordan, the mysterious and powerful man who has called her across time.
Although she is drawn to him she resists his advances as she attempts to return to her fiancé Gregory. After all Gregory is everything she ever wanted in a man, he even resembles the Arabian Knight who has haunted her dreams since she was nine years old.
With an amazing twist of the plot Kady finds herself torn from Cole, seemingly forever, and back in the 20th century. But now that she has had a taste of Cole's unconditional love Gregory is not enough.
Leaving him she decides to track down the descendants of Cole and his grandmother Ruth.
Searching for some way to make amends for the past she suddenly finds herself the lifelong enemy of her Arabian Knight and richer than she could ever have hoped to be.
Knowing that she needs Cole's descendants help she concocts a scheme of blackmail to trick him into assisting her. But who is being tricked by whom and which of the three men in her life will turn out to be the man of her dreams.
Gregory? Cole? or C.T. (Tarick) Jordan?
Without giving away any of the major surprises I must say that with twists galore the only thing that remains consistent is Kady's talents to charm her way around everyone she encounters with her delicious meals. Unputdownable.
